PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing the load of a user for insertion operation of a medium cassette to the image forming apparatus, and capable of inserting the medium cassette to the insertion regulation position securely; and a composite device.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus stores a medium provided to an apparatus body 101, and has a medium cassette 102 arranged so as to be freely inserted and removed to the apparatus body. The image forming apparatus, or the composite device, includes; an engaging member formed at the medium cassette 102; a member to be engaged which is formed at the apparatus body and engages with the engaging member according to the medium cassette 102 insertion operation; and a moving means which is connected to the member to be engaged, and which moves the medium cassette 102 to the direction of the medium cassette 102 insertion to the apparatus body via the engaging of the engaging member and the member to be engaged. |
