<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device and a coordinate input method that changes a pointer moving amount with respect to a finger moving amount by determining a contact state of a finger of a predetermined or more distance and a predetermined or larger number of times. <P>SOLUTION: The coordinate input device includes: a coordinate input part for detecting a finger contact state and contact area, a determination part for determining whether the contact state is a predetermined or more distance and a predetermined or larger number of times, a position decision part for deciding position coordinates on the basis of the contact area, a speed control part for calculating a speed coefficient on the basis of the result of determination by the determination part, and a computation part for computing pointer coordinates on the basis of the position coordinates and speed coefficient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
