摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel material plated with an Mg-based alloy, which has enhanced corrosion resistance in a worked part by being plated with the Mg-based alloy containing Mg of high concentration, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the steel material plated with the Mg-based alloy, which solves the problem of the corrosion resistance in the worked part, includes: forming a plated layer of the Mg-based alloy containing 15-50 atom% Zn, 0-15 atom% Ca and the balance Mg with unavoidable impurities, on the surface of a steel material; solidifying the plated layer; and heat-treating the layer at 90°C or higher but lower than 300°C to precipitate a Zn<SB>3</SB>Mg<SB>7</SB>phase, a Zn<SB>4</SB>Mg<SB>7</SB>phase and a MgZn phase and the like of a nanosize from the plated layer of the Mg-based alloy of an amorphous single phase.
