PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushion body exerting sufficient retention even when an amount of a metal mesh is reduced. SOLUTION: The cushion body 2 is formed into an annular shape by compression-molding the metal mesh and is attached to a held member. The cushion body 2 includes an end face portion 28 abutting against the end face of the held member and a side face portion 20 fitted to the outer peripheral face of the held member. A notch portion 24 is provided at the boundary between the end face portion 28 and the side face portion 20 for limiting the movement of the metal mesh between the side face portion and the end face portion during the compression-molding.
