PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device provided with a cabinet the heat of which is difficult for a user to feel even when touching the cabinet, and to provide a television receiver.SOLUTION: The display device is provided with: a display unit 2 having a display surface 21 on the front side thereof; a front cabinet 3 that surrounds the peripheral edge of the display unit 2; and a back cabinet 4 that covers the back side of the display unit 2. A light source 35 is installed on the inner surface of the front cabinet 3 that faces the outer peripheral surface of the display unit 2. The front cabinet 3 or the back cabinet 4 has a groove 30 in the outer surface. A long, thin cavity 300 is provided in the front-side corner of the front cabinet 3. The cavity 300 extends roughly parallel to the direction of arraying of LEDs 35b. |
