PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a vulcanized rubber improved in viscoelastic properties to be used in producing tires. SOLUTION: The method for producing a vulcanized rubber comprises: a first step of kneading together S-(5-aminopentyl)thiosulfuric acid or a metal salt thereof, a rubber component, a filler and a sulfur component; and a second step of making a heat treatment of the kneaded product obtained by the preceding step. The vulcanized rubber obtained by the method is also provided. In the method, it is preferable that the temperatures in the second step fall within the range of 120-180°C.
