PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil member that facilitates attachment of a lead wire to a coil and has a simple structure, and is superior in flexibility; and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The coil member includes: a coil body 2 comprising a conductor 5 and a bobbin 6 wound with the conductor 5; lead wires 12a, 12b electrically connecting with the conductor 5; a frame-shaped frame 3 supporting the coil body 2 and forming a magnetic circuit for magnetic flux generated by the coil body 2; two terminal parts 10a, 10b to which both ends of the conductor 5 are connected; connection plates 11a, 11b disposed inside openings 3a, 3b of a frame part of the frame 3 and having conductivity; and a support part 8 provided on the bobbin 6 and supporting one-end sides of the terminal parts 10a, 10b. Ends of the lead wires 12a, 12b and other-end sides of the terminal parts 10a, 10b are connected to the connection plates 11a, 11b, respectively; and the lead wires 12a, 12b and conductor 5 are electrically connected to each other through the connection plates 11a, 11b, respectively.
