<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of preventing deterioration of power storage capability of a lead-acid storage battery due to cycle life and restoring the capability, in order to solve the following problems: a surface of a battery electrode is covered by a non-conductive lead sulfate crystal due to an increase of the number of charges/discharges; and the lead sulfate crystal is not oxidized to lead oxide on a cathode or reduced to metallic lead on an anode to cause deterioration of the storage capability of the lead-acid storage battery. <P>SOLUTION: In order to remove a lead sulfate insulating crystal coating, dielectric loss relaxation heating is selectively subjected to lead sulfate at a lead sulfate dielectric relaxation loss peak frequency 10 MHz to finely decompose the non-conductive crystal, and the crystal is oxidized to lead oxide on the cathode and reduced to lead on the anode by charging current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
