PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equalizer achieving high equalization performance, independent of existence of a known signal. SOLUTION: An equalization processing part 15a includes: a transfer function calculating part 33; a noise eliminating part 34; a delay part 35; an equalization part 31; and a reference point calculating part 32. The equalization processing part 15a performs equalization for a signal received by OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing). The transfer function calculating part 33 calculates a transfer function of a transmission line. The noise eliminating part 34 removes noise contained in the transfer function. The delay part 35 delays the transfer function after noise elimination by one symbol and outputs it. The equalization part 31 equalizes the received signal using the output of the delay part 35. The reference point calculating part (transmission signal estimator) 32 estimates a transmission signal based on the output of the equalization part 31. The transfer function calculating part 33 calculates the transfer function, based on the received signal and the estimated transmission signal by the reference point calculating part 32.
