ION GENERATOR AND STERILIZER HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An ion generator and a sterilizer having the same are provided to obtain enough ions by rotating air moving inside a dielectric member in spiral direction. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical dielectric(30) is installed in order to lower supply voltage. A polarization charge is generated from the dielectric having a hollow part. A second electrode(10) is located in the inner side of the dielectric. The voltage from a high voltage generator is applied to the second electrode. A first electrode(20) is located in the outside of the dielectric. The first electrode is separated from the second electrode by a certain interval. An insulator(40) insulates the first electrode and the second electrode. An air rotating unit(50) spirally rotates the air contacting with the second electrode. The second electrode is comprised of a cylindrical mesh having a hollow part.
