PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus for changing a display position of an icon image to an easily visible position according to a drive situation of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The navigation apparatus 1 displays an icon image at a specific display region on a display screen. The navigation apparatus 1 includes a travel direction detection means 13 of detecting a change in a travel direction of the navigation apparatus 1 and a specific display region changing means 19. According to a travel direction detected by the travel direction detection means 13, the specific display region changing means 19 changes a specific display region for displaying the icon image to a first quadrant at an upper right section, a third quadrant at a lower left section, or a fourth quadrant at an upper left section on the display screen when viewed from a screen observation direction.
