<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus that achieves the simplification of control for stably taking power out of a solar cell. <P>SOLUTION: MPU 13 carries out the following processing using an illuminance sensor 12 provided for controlling the brightness of LCD according to the lightness of the surrounding area: when the illuminance detected by the illuminance sensor 12 is equal to or lower than a certain value, a sub-battery charging circuit 14 is controlled to stop charging of a sub-battery 15 by the solar cell 11 and controls a switching circuit 17 to set the source of power supply to a LCD backlight 19 to the sub-battery 15; meanwhile, when the illuminance detected by the illuminance sensor 12 is higher than the certain value, the sub-battery charging circuit 14 is controlled to charge the sub-battery 15 by the solar cell 11, and the switching circuit 17 is controlled to set the source of power supply to the LCD backlight 19 to a main battery 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
