<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that enables a user to easily designate a trimming region which is suited to a desired image output region and in which image quality is also ensured. <P>SOLUTION: If there are all portions corresponding to a missed region Y within an original image, the missed region is filled with additional regions (S20). Otherwise, if there are a part of portions corresponding to the missed region Y within the original image, a trimming range corresponding thereto is added partially (S24). In such a case, since an aspect ratio may be disordered, a trimming range is further added partially so as to match the aspect ratios (S25).
