PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent saturation and lightness from missing during formation of a single-hue image. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 performs an output based on image data converted through a predetermined color conversion table, and includes: a hue-singularizing processing section 10 which performs hue-singularizing processing, in respective color values of an input image, for standardizing respective hues to a single hue and for changing relation, between saturation and lightness at the standardized hues, to corresponding saturation and lightness at the standardized single hue; and a color conversion processing section 20 which converts the respective color values having been changed into color values represented in another color space through the color conversion table. The hue-singularizing processing section 10 has a compression processing means 102 for performing predetermined compression processing based on change in maximum saturation value associated with the single hue, and is configured to perform the hue-singularizing processing for the single hue after the compression processing.
