PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device where the capacity between a pixel electrode and a counter electrode is enlarged without significantly reducing the aperture ratio of a pixel.
SOLUTION: In an in-plane switching system, namely in a constitution where a drain signal is supplied from one drain signal line to two pixel columns, a part having no drain signal line is disposed between adjacent pixels, and a source electrode connected to the pixel electrode of a thin film transistor is extended, as one electrode of a capacitive element, to a region of the adjacent pixel that does not function as a substantial pixel region. Each pixel has a counter electrode, and the one electrode of the capacitive element is arranged to overlap the counter electrode via an insulating film.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
|
