SEALED BATTERY

PURPOSE: A closed battery is provided to enable the elastic support of an electrode group in a container without the use of separate members and to confirm the support situation after sealing with the naked eyes. CONSTITUTION: A closed battery comprises: a wound electrode group(8) formed by winding a positive electrode(14), a negative electrode(15), and a separator(16) in the circumference of a shaft center(7); a cylindrical battery container(1) accommodating the wound electrode group; and a seal(22) which is caulked at the opening end(20) of the battery container and seals the opening end. The shaft center is inserted between the seal and the bottom of the battery container elastically deformed toward the outside of an axis direction.
