A facsimile communication unit sends and receives facsimile data based on a facsimile transmission procedure via a public line. A history storing unit stores communication history data. A history sending unit sends, when a request for acquiring the communication history data is received from a terminal based on the hyper text transfer protocol via the network, the communication history data to the terminal via the network as a semantic extensible-markup-language document, based on the request received.
