PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and a control method of the same, allowing reduction of power consumption of a processing apparatus including a file server by transferring only a processing request permitted with access to the file server. SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus interposed between a client computer and the processing apparatus including the file server includes: a first reception means receiving condition setting information prescribing a permission condition of the access to the file server transmitted from the file server when transferring from a first power supply mode to a second power supply mode in which power consumption is small; a second reception means receiving the processing request to the file server from the client computer; a decision means deciding whether the received processing request satisfies the permission condition prescribed in the condition setting information; and a transfer control means performing a response of access rejection to the client computer without transferring the processing request to the file server when deciding that the permission condition is not satisfied.
