<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire cutting tool with which a wire is cut leaving the top shape in thin cut width which is not larger than the wire diameter with the linearity of the top end of the metallic extra fine wire such as a bonding wire maintained. <P>SOLUTION: This tool includes: two opening and closing type clampers 2, 3 with which a straight-line-shaped metallic extra fine wire w is clamped with a pair of clampers 6, 7 on the same plane; a cutting blade 4 which is installed at least on a clamper 6, 7 on one side l and has the height lower than the wire diameter of the metallic extra fine wire W cutting blade and a moving means 5 by which the two opening and closing type clampers 2, 3 are moved along the axial direction of the metallic extra fine wire W. The metallic extra fine wire W is clamped in a straight-line shape ith the two opening and closing type clampers 2, 3 and also a notch is formed with the cutting blade 4 on the metallic extra fine wire W. By enlarging the distance D between the clampers by the moving means 5, making the metallic extra fine wire W work-harden by elongating it, cutting the extra fine wire W by taking the necking in the notched part with the cutting blade 4 as the stating point of breaking, the straight-line portion which is work-hardened is formed on the top of the metallic extra fine wire W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
