<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact electrosurgical appliance, excellent in the operability, capable of accurately measuring and controlling the temperature of an electrode knife and the living tissue in the periphery. <P>SOLUTION: The medical electrosurgical appliance is for performing a high-frequency treatment to the target living tissue by feeding high-frequency currents to the metal electrode knife 1. The electrode knife is a first thermoelectric element 1 and a metal material different from the electrode knife is a second thermoelectric element 2a.
