<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state laser device that eliminates the need for antireflective coating of a laser light input/output unit of a solid excitation medium. <P>SOLUTION: The solid laser device includes the solid excitation medium which generates laser light with a laser gain induced with excitation light, and amplifies it, wherein the solid excitation medium 1 has a first total reflection coating side 4 of a total reflection coating extending in a predetermined direction, a second total reflection coating side 5 of a total reflection coating opposed to the first total reflection coating side at a predetermined taper angle such that the interval between them gradually varies, and a Brewster side 12 provided at a side end where the mutual interval between the first and second total reflection coating sides is wide, and formed such that the laser light is reflected by the first and second total reflection coating sides alternately to travel from the wide-interval side to the narrow-interval side while traveling zigzag, and reflected from the wide-interval side to the narrow-interval side to return the wide-interval side for emission, and a projection angle of the projection angle of the laser light or an incident angle of incident light of the laser light is a Brewster's angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
