<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device steering a ship without becoming unable to turn a rudder when abnormality of a turning angle sensor detecting the rotation position of an outboard motor has been detected in a ship. <P>SOLUTION: The steering device comprises: the outboard motor 4 as a power source; a steering wheel 1 arranged in a driver's seat of a hull; a steering wheel sensor 2 detecting the steering angle of the steering wheel; an actuator 5 turning the outboard motor; the turning angle sensor 6 detecting the turning angle of the outboard motor driven by the actuator; and a control device 8 input with a turning angle sensor signal and a steering wheel sensor signal, calculating a controlling turning angle according to the steering angle, and for output of a drive signal to the actuator 5 controlling the turning angle of the outboard motor 4 based on the difference between the controlling turning angle and the turning angle. When the abnormality of the turning angle sensor 6 has been detected, the control device 8 continues driving of turning based on predetermined time determined beforehand according to the controlling turning angle and performs controlling estimating the turning angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
