The present invention provides a method and apparatus for performing a HARQ in a wireless communication system. In the method for performing a HARQ according to the present invention, a terminal transmits an uplink data over a PUSCH(Physical Uplink Shared Channel); and receives an ACK/NACK(Acknowledgement/Non-Acknowledgement) signal over PHICH(Physical Hybrid-ARQ Indicator Channel) corresponding to the PUSCH, with the signal indicating whether the uplink data is received through a plurality of layers. Here, downlink resources to which a PHICH is mapped for each of the plurality of layers do not overlap each other. Those downlink resources to which a PHICH is mapped for each of the plurality of layers can be determined based on different cyclic shift values that are allocated to the plurality of the layers, respectively.
