PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-train video display system and method for synchronizing the change-over timing of videos displayed on a plurality of monitors inside a vehicle of a train. SOLUTION: An in-vehicle display control section 1 and a plurality of display modules are arranged in a vehicle of a train, and they are connected to one another via a video stream transmission path 30, a decoding start signal transmission line 31, and a decoding end signal transmission line 32. A video decoder 23 decodes video data, based on a decoding start signal from the decoding start signal transmission line 31. When all the decoding operations in the plurality of display modules are finished, a decoding end signal is output to the decoding end signal transmission line 32 from the video decoder 23, and the decoding end signal is input to a decoding start control section 15. The decoding start control section 15 generates a decoding start signal according to the decoding end signal, and the decoding start signal is simultaneously transmitted to the plurality of display modules via the decoding start signal transmission line 31.
