<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain inverter device operated efficiently regardless of whether an output load is light or heavy, and to obtain an air conditioner with the inverter device. <P>SOLUTION: A first inverter 6, namely a three-phase inverter circuit, is composed of IGBTs 6a to 6f and diodes 7a to 7f.
