METHOD FOR ASSESSING BOAR REPRODUCTIVE CAPACITY

A method for assessing boar reproductive capacity takes into account the numbers of sperm doses obtained of an ejaculate and the level of boar’s sexual activity. The index of boars’ reproductive capacity is calculated. It is expressed by a ratio of the number of sperm doses obtained from one ejaculate to overall time consumed for obtaining thereof, and on condition of refusal of a boar to carry out a mounting, at incomplete mounting or nonconformities of characteristics of the obtained ejaculate to the established zooveterinary requirements the index of boar’s reproductive capacity equals to zero.
