The present invention provides a processing method, apparatus and communication system for redirection and belongs to a communication technical field, wherein the processing method for redirection includes: a Femto Access Point (FAP) receives a message which contains information of a service needed by a terminal; the FAP obtains information of a base station which supports the service when the FAP determines that the service is not supported by itself; and the FAP sends the information of the base station to the terminal in order that the terminal determines a target base station according to the information of the base station. In the embodiments of the present invention, when the FAP connected to the terminal currently does not support the service needed by the terminal, the FAP obtains the information of the base station which supports the service needed by the terminal and sends the information of the base station to the terminal, thus the terminal is redirected to the target base station which supports the service needed by the terminal itself and the efficiency of realizing the needed service by the terminal is improved.
