PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to break the structural connection between an electrode terminal and an electrode tab, thereby enhancing the reliability of a battery pack. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly(130) consisting of a first electrode(131), second electrode(132) and separator(133); a case(120) for receiving the electrode assembly; an electrode terminal connected to the first electrode; and an electrode tab connected to the first electrode and extending out of the case, wherein the electrode tab is arranged to separate from the first electrode if the case is deformed in the state where the lead tab is in contact with the case.
