The sensor comprises a base element (9) having a surface, and at least one light emitting diode (10) emitting at pre-determined wavelength, and a photodetector (11) which is sensitive to the pre-determined wavelength. The at least one light emitting diode comprises at least one emissive layer having been printed onto the surface.
