PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeper with an alarm function which can provide the notification of the approach of a train by converting vibration generated by the passage of the train to electric energy even in a place with no feeding source so as to supply electric power to an alarm means by utilizing the electric energy. SOLUTION: The sleeper 1 with the alarm function includes: a sleeper body 2 for supporting a rail 7; a power generating unit 4 which is provided in the sleeper body 2 so as to convert the vibration to the electric energy; and a light-emitting element 5 which serves as the alarm means for emitting light by being supplied with the electric power from the power generating unit 4.
