<p>Disclosed is a distillation device which produces fresh water from seawater, wherein the steam produced by evaporating seawater at the boiling point thereof, i.e. 100.5°C at 1 atm, in the distillation tank (12) of the distillation device is compressed by a compressor (14) and the pressure is raised to 1.018 atm so that the condensation temperature of the steam is raised from 100°C at 1 atm to 100.5°C at 1.018 atm thus condensing the steam at the boiling point of seawater. Condensation heat generated during condensation is utilized as the evaporation heat required for evaporating the seawater. Since the evaporation heat when the seawater evaporates and the condensation heat when the steam condensates are balanced, a distillation device having high thermal efficiency can be attained.</p> |
