<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fully suppress noise which is caused by encoding processing, while holding an image with the sense of image with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: An image pre-filter device includes an orthogonal transformation portion 1 for orthogonally transforming an image signal of an input image and generating a plurality of a band component images, by arranging transformation coefficients of the orthogonal transformation in each of the same frequency bands; and a transformation coefficient processing portion 2 for executing pre-filter processing for changing the filter strength of a transformation coefficient in the band component images, according to the local visual characteristics of the input image or the band component images generated by the orthogonal transformation portion 1, and returns the transformation coefficient to an image signal, when an inverse orthogonal transformation portion 3 inversely orthogonally transforms the transformation coefficient subjected to pre-filter processing by the transformation coefficient processing portion 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
