A procedure for the control of the arc current output delivered in welding processes, which varies, beyond the duty-cycle , also the working frequency, so a to fit it to the requirements of the welding process; in particular, the control uses high switching frequencies when the welding process needs very high dynamics and, vice versa, it uses switching frequencies progressively decreasing when the welding process does not need high dynamics and it is, instead, preferable to minimize switching dissipation.
