A method for manufacturing an insole by mixing pulverised used footwear in a weight to weight ratio of 5% - 60%, pulverised wooden material (having a particle size of less than 5 mm) in the ratio of 15% - 35%, matrix rubber in the ratio of 5% - 75%, and a foaming agent. The mixture is stirred and then formed into a sheet. The insoles are formed in a mould using heat and pressure, and the edges then trimmed. The moulding process causes curing and setting of the sheet material to form an insole with the correct softness, flexibity and resilience, and with anti-bacterial and deodorizing properties. The insole thus produced is completely sanitary, comfortable and environmentally friendly.
|
