PURPOSE: A scale removing device is provided to effectively remove residue scale on the surface of rolled material since scales are attached on the surface of a protrusion by the magnetic force of an electromagnet body. CONSTITUTION: A scale removing device comprises a body(21), a protrusion(22), and a coil. The body is separated from the surface of the rolled material discharged from a furnace and is rotated by outer driving force. The protrusion is formed on the outer circumference of the electromagnet body and is contacted with scales on the surface of the rolled material during the rotation of the electromagnet body in order to remove the scales. The coil covers the outer circumference of the electromagnet body.
