A method for transmitting and receiving a paging message in a wireless communication system including femtocells is disclosed. The paging message reception method includes receiving a paging message from a macro base station during a primary paging listening interval, moving to a coverage area of a femtocell base station accessible to the mobile station and selecting the femtocell base station, and receiving a paging message from the femtocell base station during a secondary paging listening interval.
