<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that an yield of a raw material is deteriorated (a large quantity of parts as waste materials) when punching a core from a steel sheet as the raw material for the core when the core is divided into two, and the cost of the core is increased. <P>SOLUTION: A transformer includes a side core formed of a frame-shaped laminated steel sheet surrounding the periphery of a center core formed of an I type laminated steel sheet. The transformer is configured so as to form a closed magnetic circuit by both the center core and the side core. The center core is divided into two in the longitudinal direction, parts at one side of the side core are formed integrally to each center core piece and the closed magnetic circuit is formed of three parts while being united with the residual side core.
