NONWOVEN FABRIC TYPE SOLID-PHASE EXTRACTION MEDIUM, AND SOLID-PHASE EXTRACTION CARTRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and inexpensively manufacturing a solid-phase extraction medium and a solid-phase extraction cartridge for metal analyzing pretreatment producing no variation in the filling density of the solid-phase extraction medium and low in the flow velocity dependence to the extraction ratio at the time of passage of a sample solution in the solid-phase extraction medium used in a metal analyzing pretreatment process.

SOLUTION: After a polyamine type high-molecular compound showing chelating properties is mixed with a fiber raw material solution, the obtained mixture is spun to obtain chelating fibers which are, in turn, formed into a nonwoven fabric or compounded with another nonwoven fabric to be formed into a nonwoven fabric by a known nonwoven fabric manufacturing method to obtain the nonwoven fabric type solid-phase extraction medium for metal analyzing pretreatment. This nonwoven fabric type solid-phase extraction medium is mounted on a reservoir or holder to obtain the solid-phase extraction cartridge.
