PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micro-capsule containing a heat sensitive liquid crystal excellent in moisture resistance, weather resistance, water resistance, thermal resistance, chemical resistance and the like, and capable of maintaining a coloring property for a long period of time without damaging the coloring property of a heat sensitive liquid crystal itself, and its manufacturing method, and to further provide a coating composition using the micro-capsule containing the heat sensitive liquid crystal and a coating film formed with the coating composition or the like. SOLUTION: The micro-capsule containing the heat sensitive liquid crystal is made by encapsulating the heat sensitive liquid crystal with two layers of capsule films, and the two layers of capsule films consists of an organic based coating film (a first capsule film) formed on the surface of the heat sensitive liquid crystal and an inorganic based coating film ( a second capsule film) formed on the surface of the first capsule film.
