Ferric oxide red pigment (A) (having an a* value measured according to CIELAB units according to DIN 6174, which is coated for 15 minutes in an Olbrich shaker for 26.5-30 (preferably 26.5-28.5) with a paint film in Olbrich shaker with an increase in dispersion for 15-120 minutes and exhibiting a chromacity of delta h ab* according to DIN 6174 of less than 1.1 (preferably less than 0.8)) is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) ferric oxide red pigment (Bayferrox 110M) of 0.5-4 (preferably 0.7-2) units, higher a*-units, measured according to CIELAB units in accordance with DIN 6174 with a coating time of 15 minutes in the Olbrich Shaker and with a paint film in the Olbrich Shaker with an increase of the dispersion time of 15-120 minutes, a multicolored chromacity according with DIN 6174 of less than 1.1 (preferably less than 0.8) or a tenacity according to DIN 6174 of less than 0.8 (preferably 0.6) or less than 1.8 (preferably less than 1.3); (2) and the preparation of (A). |
