PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a voltage of a detection object without calculating a capacitance between a detection electrode and the detection object. SOLUTION: A voltage detection device includes: a detection electrode 12 disposed oppositely to the detection object 4; a reference signal output unit 31 for output of a reference signal Ss; a detection unit 14A connected to the detection electrode 12, for input of the reference signal Ss, and for output of a detection signal S1 whose amplitude is changed corresponding to both current values of a detection object current v1 flowing based on an AC voltage V1 and a reference current Is1 flowing based on the reference signal Ss; and a signal extraction unit 32 for controlling a gain so that an amplitude on a signal component of the reference signal Ss included in an amplitude detection signal S3 becomes constant, while generating the amplitude detection signal S3 by amplifying the detection signal S1 by a prescribed gain, and extracting a signal component of the AC voltage V1 from the amplitude detection signal S3, and for output of the results as an output signal So.
