PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and properly adjust the image quality corresponding to individual image data. SOLUTION: When a memory card MC is inserted into a slot 34, a control circuit 30 of a color printer 20 obtains image processing control information GC from the memory card MC to analyze it. A CPU 31 corrects reference values with respect to image quality parameters indicating the characteristics of the image data by reflecting the image processing control information GC. The CPU 31 corrects image quality parameters for bringing them closer to the corrected reference values and adjusts the image quality of the image data by reflecting the corrected image quality parameters.
