PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally conductive bar-shaped resin compact which has a high thermal conductivity and a low anisotropy of the thermal conductivity and is useful as a base material for cutting. SOLUTION: There is provided the thermally conductive bar-shaped resin compact which is useful as a base material for cutting, by solidification extrusion molding of a thermally conductive resin composition that contains at least 100 pts.wt. of thermoplastic resin and 25-230 pts.wt. of graphitized carbon material of which the crystallite size (Lc) originated in the direction of the thickness of the hexagonal plane of a graphite crystal is 20 nm or more.
