PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article processing system 1 having higher operation efficiency than conventional operation efficiency. SOLUTION: This article processing system 1 includes a first belt conveyor 5 for circularly carrying a large number of stands 2, a filling and plugging device 14 for installing a cap 4 after filling a filling liquid in a vessel 3 held by the stand 2, a second belt conveyor 7 having both ends connected to the first belt conveyor 5, and a cleaning drying means 23 for cleaning and drying the empty stands 2 carried by this second belt conveyor 7. In ordinary production operation for filling the filling liquid in the vessels 3 by the filling and plugging means 14 while circularly carrying the stands 2 by the first belt conveyor 5, the predetermined number of empty stands 2 are introduced into the second belt conveyor 7 from the first belt conveyor 5, and are cleaned and dried by the cleaning drying means 23.
