PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a material containing metals capable of efficiently collecting metal complexes not impregnated by process material and remaining in a processing vessel out of metal complexes used when manufacturing the material containing metals with metals being impregnated in a vicinity of a surface of the process material. SOLUTION: The method includes: a step of feeding high-pressure carbon dioxide fluid and metal complexes into a vessel 10 containing a process material, and impregnating the high-pressure carbon dioxide fluid and the metal complexes in a vicinity of the surface of the process material when manufacturing a material containing metals with the metals being impregnated in a vicinity of the surface of the process material; a step of feeding a second high-pressure fluid having the solubility of the metal complexes being smaller than that of the high-pressure carbon dioxide fluid to the vessel, and discharging the high-pressure carbon dioxide fluid and the metal complexes remaining in the vessel to the outside of the vessel; a step of collecting the metal complexes discharged to the outside of the vessel; and a step of reducing or oxidizing the metal complexes impregnated in a vicinity of the surface of the process material.
