<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material roller capable of reducing a surface pressure in a contacting part between the composite material roller and a structure. <P>SOLUTION: The composite material roller rotating itself includes a cylindrical laminated body woven by fiber and having a plurality of laminated cloths impregnated with resin, and a sheet made of fiber different from the laminated body and covering a rotating surface of the laminated body. A coefficient of vertical elasticity of the fiber of the cloth is smaller than a coefficient of vertical elasticity of the resin of the cloth.
