PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus which highly accurately conveys and positions a conveyance object such as a recording medium, and to provide a conveyance unit and a conveyance roller. SOLUTION: The printing apparatus has the conveyance roller 31 which is formed in a cylindrical shape by bending a sheet metal. The conveyance roller conveys the recording medium. The conveyance roller 31 has a connecting part 76 where a pair of end faces 74 and 75 of the sheet metal connect with each other, and employs such a constitution that the relation of L2≤L1-2πt is satisfied when a peripheral length of an outer peripheral surface 71a is L1, a peripheral length of an inner peripheral surface 71b is L2, and a sheet thickness is t.
