<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a machining head from suddenly falling when there is no workpiece at the leading end side of the machining head, based on an output signal from a displacement sensor provided on the machining head. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes: a workpiece detection means which determines that there is no workpiece at the leading end side of the machining head when the value of either moving rate or acceleration of the machining head calculated from a detection value of the displacement sensor exceeds each preset reference value for determining the fall, and determines that there is a workpiece when the value exceeds a preset reference detection value for releasing preset fall-direction machine lock state; a fall-direction machine lock means which prohibits the machining head from moving in the fall direction when the workpiece detection means determines that there is no workpiece at the leading end side of the machining head; and a fall-direction machine lock release means which releases the state in which the movement in the fall direction is prohibited by the fall-direction machine lock means when the workpiece detection means determines that there is a workpiece at the leading end side of the machining head. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
