The invention relates to a dog clutch (2) for rotatably coupling two rotatably mounted components, comprising two clutch elements (18, 20) disposed coaxially with one other, each being equipped with dogs (36, 38), which clutch elements can be engaged and disengaged by an axial adjustment of a first (18) clutch element with respect to the axially stationary second clutch element (20). The respectively cooperating flanks of the dogs (36, 38) are inclined in the axial direction such that axial forces (42, 44) spreading the clutch elements (18, 20) are generated when transmitting a driving torque. The first clutch element (18) is drivingly connected to an actuator (17). The actuator (17) and the axially stationary second clutch element (20) are supported with respect to a component that is common to both clutch elements, for example a hub sleeve (10) disposed on a shaft (4), so that the spreading forces (42, 44) acting in opposite directions cancel each other within the clutch and axial support in the structure surrounding the clutch is not required. |
