The motor vehicle (300) has a system to predict the position and/or movement of an object (210) in the path, e.g. a pedestrian. The actual position of the object is detected by a transceiver (121) and a transponder in a unit (110) at the object. The movement data gathered from the sensor assembly at the object allow its position and predicted movement to be assessed in relation to the vehicle.
